The week before Christmas, we bought our daughter her dream pony that she so desperately wanted. I had lined up a paddock to keep him in, sharing with a friend, but after a misunderstanding I was desperate to move him out of where we were.
After searching on the internet for somewhere around the Northern Beaches, Loane Equestrian Center kept coming up first on my search list. I clicked through to the website to have a read and decided to give Julie and Samantha a call to see if they could help me out. They had one spot left and it was available now……..I jumped at it.
We have now been part of the Loane Equestrian team for the last 6 months and it was the best move we made. I have the flexibility to do all the things I need to do with the comfort that my daughter’s pony is well cared for and fed when we are not able to make it up there. Both these ladies have a wealth of knowledge on horses from all things safety both for horse and owner, breeding, health, ground work, riding and specializing in Dressage.
My daughter starting riding lessons with Samantha when we moved in there and her riding has improved 150% from what is was, so much so that she is almost ready now to do her first competition and even more impressive is how much her pony has improved both health wise and education wise.
So if like me, you want the reassurance that someone is around keeping an eye on your horse/pony when you’re not there, you can still have a holiday and not stress about what to do with your horse, or if you’re looking for a boarding place that provides it all so you don’t need to leave the property then look no further. These ladies are truly the best at what they do and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

My family's journey with Sam & Julie began when I stumbled across Sam as a coach for my then 9 year old daughter. I had done the rounds of larger riding schools during my daughters first year of riding and hadn't had the experience I desired. After meeting Sam all that changed. Within 4 months, Julie had through her contacts, found the perfect dressage pony for my daughter. Within a few months, they did their first prep test together and 15 months later their first elementary test. Her progress has been superb and has been the fruit of hard labour by both my daughter and Sam.
Our story does not end there. Some months after our pony purchase I too wanted to get in the saddle. Once again LEC was instrumental. Sam, India and myself road tripped to Dubbo and returned with my wonderful schoolmaster.
We were complete clueless novices when we started with the Loane's and they have been vital to our progress. Julie & Sam complement each other perfectly. What you get at LEC is a wealth of animal husbandry knowledge and experience and coaching excellence.
You may find a centre with more luxurious facilities for you, but I challenge you to find a facility that provides more comprehensive, attentive, intuitive 24/7 care of your horse.

I moved to Loane Equestrian Centre with my Clydie Cross Brandy over 4 years ago.
When we first arrived I had done very little ridden work with Brandy. Walking in a straight line was an issue.
With Sam's tuition, knowledge and support we have come a very long way and compete regularly with many wins and placings in hacking.
In addition to Brandy I now have Lilly, my 2 year old Warmblood out of Bayview Park Lorelei and Riverside.
Lilly was bred by Sam and Julie and is a superb young horse who is being brought on slowly under the watchful eye of Sam and Julie.
The happiness and health of the horses is Julie and Sams top priority. I work full time and as such I am not able to be at the stables every day.
I have peace of mind knowing that my horses are in good hands. It really is like a family at LEC!!

Since starting riding with Loane equestrian centre just as a purchased my first horse 6 years ago I have obtained so much knowledge about the new world of horses which I had ventured into.
With Samantha as my coach I was able to achieve so much more than I could ever imagine with my horse, going from scratch to advanced dressage in those years.
Since I have boarded at Loane equestrian centre I have never felt that my horse and myself were is such capable hands. Both Sam and Julie go above and beyond what I could ever ask for.
The community atmosphere is one which can only be experienced, everyone is so caring and helpful to one another and we are always felt like we are one of the family, which is exactly what we have become.
That is what Loane equestrian centre is all about. Care beyond expectations for both horse and rider. I could never imagine being anywhere else.

They absolutely go above and beyond in everything they do! They took my family and myself through all the steps of being a horse owner right down to even helping us through Horseland!
